Satin ribbons

Yes, I'm continuing the 'line theme' ;).  I can never get enough of patterns. Today I present you with my DIY project - a little 'masterpiece' made of ribbons and topped off with an inspirational quote.

The secret of being happy is accepting where you are in life and making the most out of every day.

What you will need:
1. Ribbons - I chose a set of 3 pastel satin ribbons (6 mm).

2. Frame (mine is 13 x 18 cm)
    Adhesive tape
    Scissors
A piece of paper on which you will paste your ribbons
A metallic sheet of paper to print the text on

 3. Tape the whole sheet of paper with adhesive tape. I wasn't very precise when it came to this step (you can see in the photo below - the tape crinkled a bit ;).  This didn't matter much, because in the place where the tape wasn't smoothed out, the piece of paper with the quote was pasted on.

 4. Start putting your ribbons on the adhesive tape. Experiment with different color combinations, make them horizontal, vertical, diagonal - just have fun with it! The possibilities are endless :).

5. I think this was the longest and the most difficult step - choosing the font. I tested various fonts with different color combinations. The colors that showed on the monitor were different from the ones that printed out - the magic of metallic paper, gotta love it ;) .... but in the end....

 6. ... it was a success! :) I love how it turned out. The pastel colors with the gray frame and metallic paper work great together. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial! :)
